Time Limits: 50K - 9 hour time limit; Marathon - 8 hour time limit; 25K - 4.5 hour time limit; 10K - 2 hour time limit

The trails are a combination of existing gravel roads, old farm roads, a couple of chat trails, and miles and miles of single track trail winding through meadows and deep woods. As hard as we have tried there is no avoiding the hills of Osage County. It is a beautifull course with a little bit of everything. There are some rocky areas but for the most part it is the hills that will give you the best workout. For this reason we have raised the difficulty rating to a five. If you plan to run this one fast then you need to trail for hills. We do cross several creeks but have not had to get our feet wet yet.

The 10K will be one loop, the 25k will run the 10k loop and a 15k loop. The 50K will run the 25K route and then run it again the opposite direction. The Marathon will run the 25K course with two added out and backs.

Water stations will be located every two miles and aid stations with food and drinks will be located every four miles.

Russell Secker To Speak At The Pasta Dinner

After competing in multi-week stage races across France and Germany, Russell Secker took on the hardest physical and mental challenge of his life – running across the whole of Europe in the 2009 edition of the Trans Europe Footrace.  The race format was simple yet implausibly difficult – covering an average of 45 miles a day on foot for 64 consecutive days, with no rest days.

Starting from Bari in the south of Italy, 67 ultrarunners from around the world set off to test themselves on a grueling 2-month journey of self-discovery.  The race passed through Italy, Austria, Germany, Sweden and Finland before reaching the northernmost land in Europe – North Cape, Norway – 400 miles inside the Arctic Circle.

His recently published book Running Across Countries gives first-hand insight into the daunting challenge of becoming a transcontinental runner, one of the toughest and most unforgiving tests of the human body and spirit.

Russell will have copies of his book for sale.
