These races are all tough. We would rate the Friday races at 5 out of 10, with 10 being the most difficult. Saturday races at a 7 or 8 difficulty level with 10 being the most difficult. The Sunday races would be rates at 6 out of 10. I can only rate the trail runs up against trail races I have done. Mountain races are tougher because of altitude, summer races are tougher because of the heat. I am comparing these trails to other trail runs I have done in comparable weather around Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Texas. This comparison is only for runners who have never run the POSTOAK Challenge so you know this is not a walk in the park on a nice, smooth, chat trail with public restrooms and fresh water every mile. The question you must ask yourself is, "AM I UP FOR THE TRC POSTOAK CHALLENGE?". Bring trail shoes and plan to run on trails with roots, rocks, trees, water crossings, anything and everything you would expect to find in the woods. Did I mention the hills? This is Osage County, Oklahoma, I don't believe there is a flat place out there. ARE YOU STILL UP FOR THE POSTOAK CHALLENGE?

The Triple Marathon and Half Marathon start will be Friday, February 24, 2022 at 8am. All entrants will receive a special Triple shirt and hat. Runners who finish all three days will receive a more than special POSTOAK CHALLENGE TRIPLE FINISHER Hoodie!!! The Friday races will start and finish at the Pole Barn. This route will be different from the Sunday Marathon route. You will not go over Holmes Peak or the Hill From Hill. You must sign up for the Triple Marathon or Half Marathon to be able to run on Friday. All Triple runners will receive a Finisher Medal each day and a Triple Finisher Trophy at the completion of the third day.

50k will be on February 25, 2022 at 8:00 am. All entrants will receive a long sleeved technical shirt, a Finisher's Medallion, and food and drink in the POSTOAK Lodge after you finish. The Trail 50K is open to the first 200 entrants. It is four 12.5K loops. You will run over Holmes Peak each loop. You will run the shorter version of the Hill From Hell. There will be a drop bag area and full Aid Station one half mile past the Start/Finish. There will be an early start at 7am, you will still show on the finishing results but you will not be eligible for overall or age group awards.

The Trail 25k will be February 25, 2022 at 8:30 am. The Trail 25K is open to the first 200 entrants. All entrants will receive a long sleeved technical shirt, a Finisher's Medallion, and food and drink in the POSTOAK Lodge after you finish. The 25K will be two 12.5K loops. The same course as the 50k is running. Please read the 50k information.

The Trail 10k will be February 25, 2022 at 9:00 am. The Trail 10K is open to the first 300 entrants. All entrants will receive a long sleeved technical shirt, a Finisher's Medallion, and food and drink in the POSTOAK Lodge after you finish. The 10k course is different from the 25k and 50k route. The 10k will go up Holmes Peak and will run the Hill From Hell. Overall however, the total altitude gain for the 10k is less than last year.

The Trail Marathon will be held on February 26, 2022 at 8:00 am. This event is run on single track trails, old farm roads, and some gravel road. You will want to run it in Trail Shoes. There will be a drop bag area one half mile past the Start/Finish line. You will have access to your drop bag on every loop. The Trail Marathon will be four loops. The Full, Half, and Quarter Marathon will NOT run over Holmes Peak. You will also run the shorter version of the Hill From Hell. The Trail Marathon is open to the first 200 entrants. All entrants will receive a long sleeved technical shirt, a Finisher's Medallion, and food and drink in the POSTOAK Lodge after you finish. There will be an early start at 7am, you will still show on the finishing results but you will not be eligible for overall or age group awards. All of the Sunday races have less altitude gain than the Saturday races and they are run on easier, less technical trails.

The Trail Half Marathon will be held on February 26, 2022 at 8:30 am. This event is run on single track trails, old farm roads, and some gravel road. You will want to run it in Trail Shoes. The Half Marathon will be two loops this year. Please read the Trail Marathon course description for more information. The Trail Half Marathon is open to the first 200 entrants. All entrants will receive a long sleeved technical shirt, a Finisher's Medallion, and food and drink in the POSTOAK Lodge after you finish.

The Trail Quarter Marathon will be held on February 26, 2022 at 9 am. This event is run on single track trails, old farm roads, and some gravel road. It is one loop on the same trails as the Half and Full Marathon. You will want to run it in Trail Shoes. The Trail Quarter marathon is open to the first 200 entrants. All entrants will receive a long sleeved technical shirt, a Finisher's Medallion, and food and drink in the POSTOAK Lodge after you finish.

The POSTOAK Challenge Trail 50K, 25K, 10K is not a walk in the park, these are trails in the woods and it is not for the faint at heart. This is the TRC POSTOAK Challenge. The trails are a combination of less than a mile of existing gravel roads, old farm roads, a couple of chat trails, and miles and miles of single track trail winding through meadows and deep woods. As hard as we have tried there is no avoiding the hills of Osage County. It is a beautiful course with a little bit of everything. There are rocky areas, creek crossings, and a good chance of mud on the trail, but for the most part it is the hills that will give you the best workout. For this reason we have raised the difficulty rating to eight (out of ten). If you plan to run this one fast then you need to train for hills, lots of hills.

The POSTOAK Challenge Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, and Quarter Marathon will be run on very similar trails as the Saturday except the Sunday events will have much more old farm road sections mixed in. The road sections will be either logging road, old wagon trails, or gravel. The trail section will be single track trails for the most part with a couple of chat trails, and miles and miles of trail winding through meadows and deep woods. As hard as we have tried there is no avoiding the hills of Osage County. It is a beautiful course with a little bit of everything. There are rocky areas, creek crossings, and a good chance of mud on the trail, but for the most part it is the Hill From Hell that will give you the best workout. Because we eliminated Holmes Peak and added more road sections we have lowered the difficulty rating to six (out of ten) for all of the Sunday races. If you plan to run this one fast then you need to train for hills, lots of hills. You will all finish by running up the world famous "HILL FROM HELL". Welcome to the TRC POSTOAK Challenge!

Simply go to the Awards table and let Wayne Webster know that you have an award coming. Congratulations on a great achievement.

The finishers medallions for the 2017 POSTOAK Challenge are solid medal 4 inch round medallions for the 10k, 25k, Quarter, and Half Marathon. The Medallion for the 50k and Full Marathon will be a large 5 inch medal.

The overall Top Three Male and Female winners of all six races will receive a one of a kind Trophy that they can display and also use to hang their finisher Medallions on, letting everyone know they were a winner at the TRC POSTOAK Challenge.

The first, second, and third place finishers of each ten year age group starting at 0 thru 19, 20 thru 29, 30 thru 39, 40 thru 49, 50 thru 59, 60 thru 69, and 70 up will receive a one of a kind hand cut wooden plaque that can also be used to displany your finisher madals. The race will be cut into the base and it will say first, second, or third place on the award. These awards will be in the ten year age groups for the 10k, 25k, 50k, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon, and Full Marathon.

We will also have the Hill From Hell awards again this year. This award is cut out in the shape of our famous Hill From Hell and it is large. We will present this award to the top 3 male and female combined times in the 50k-Marathon Double, the 25k-Half Marathon Double, and the 10k-Quarter Marathon Double. The 50k-Marathon Doublers will get a double sized Doubler award that will have the races cut into the base.

The last place award for the 50k and 26.2 will be our largest award, we are calling this very special award the "Most Enduring" award. This will be for the last person, male or female, who finish the 50k and the Marathon within the official time limit. If someone decides to sit down and wait so they can claim the award, they will be disqualified. You must keep moving and making an effort to finish. We will have race officials following each event to make sure all is kept honest and fair.
